This stripy tiger cake recipe is amazing and so easy to do! For maximum impact with minimum effort, have a go at this cake, perfect for any occasion!
Ingredients:
- 4 large eggs
- 250g caster sugar
- 100ml milk
- 250 ml sunflower oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 475g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 25g cocoa powder
Method:
- Out the oven on gas mark 4. Grease a 9in cake tin.
- Mix the eggs, sugar, milk, olive oil, vanilla extract and 175g of the flour until smooth.
- Split the mix in 2, adding the cocoa powder to 1 half of the mix. Split the flour into 175g (for the half without the cocoa) and 125g (for the half with the cocoa). Add the flour and mix until smooth.
- Either using a spoon or piping bags, put a dot of plain mix in the middle of the cake tin, and then put a dot of chocolate mix in the middle of that. As you repeat this procedure, the cake mix will spread and create layers of plain and chocolate mix.
- Bake for 40-50 mins in the middle of the oven, until firm. Allow it to cool, and serve. The cake should have a stripy centre when you cut into it.
