Makes 35 (small biscuits)
These domino biscuits are a fun and creative way to get baking with your children. However- don’t expect to be able to play dominos with them, as they won’t last long with kids around!
You can decorate your domino biscuits to look like dominoes with chocolate chips, or if you want really funky domino biscuits.. use colourful smarties instead!
Ingredients:
- 100g unsalted butter
- 150g plain flour
- 1tbsp cocoa powder
- 60g golden caster sugar
- 2 tbsp semi-skimmed milk
- Smarties or chocolate chips to decorate
Methods:
- Preheat oven to 180C, 160C fan, or gas mark 4.
- Rub the butter and the flour until you have breadcrumbs. Add the coca powder and sugar and mix together.
- Add the milk and mix it all together.
- Roll it into a ball and chill in the fridge for 20 mins.
- Flour a surface, and roll out the dough to 3mm thickness. Trim into a neat rectangle, then cut into strips. Cut 6cm lengths and score a like half way down, so it starts to look like a domino (without the dots).
- Place on a baking sheet and add your smarties or chocolate chips. Bake for 8-10 mins, allow to cool, then enjoy.
