Makes 1 pizza
This recipe for homemade pizza is delicious and a healthier alternative to ordering from your local takeaway. If you want your homemade pizza to be really creative, whilst still pleasing your fussy family members, why not have a different topping on each side?
Whatever you place on top, the homemade pizza is sure to become a family favourite.
Ingredients:
Dough
- 150g plain flower
- 1tbsp olive oil
- A splash of water
Sauce
- ½ tin chopped tomatoes
- 1tsp green pesto
- ½ clove garlic
- Salt, pepper & balsamic vinegar to season
- Mozzarella cheese
- Toppings of your choice
Method:
- Put the oven on gas mark 6 & heat a flat baking sheet.
- Mix the flower and oil together, adding enough to bind the dough into a ball. Sprinkle some flour on a clean worktop and roll out your dough. Cook on a hot frying pan for 1 min to solidify the base.
- Put the tomatoes, garlic, pesto & seasoning into a blender and blend until smooth.
- Put the tomato mix on the pizza base and smooth out. Add cheese and topping. Place on the hot baking tray and cook for 6 mins, or until slightly browned.
- Cut into triangular slices and serve while hot.
