Ingredients

  • 500g carrots, chopped
  • 500g sweet potatoes, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds, toasted
  • 25g lightly salted butter

 

Method

Peel and chop the carrots and sweet potatoes then put them in a large pan of salted water, along with the garlic.  Bring to the boil and cook for 12 minutes.  Drain.  Add cumin seeds, butter and seasoning.  Roughly mash and serve immediately.
