And so the Christmas countdown begins…

You know how good it is to start planning for Christmas well in advance, so you’ll know it pays to get a head start on the finishing touches in the weeks running up to Christmas.  Our helpful guide below will leave you with more time to enjoy with family and friends.

Six weeks before Christmas

1. Update your Christmas card list

Add in any new people to your address book and make sure you have current addresses for older friends and family.

2. Finalise guests for Christmas lunch

If you’re hosting Christmas this year, now is the time to confirm and finalise how many guests you’ll be feeding on the day.

3. Keep a list of who to buy presents for

There are several weeks left to get all your Christmas shopping done. But carrying a list of names around with you will keep those people fresh in your mind and make it more likely that you’ll spot great gift ideas while you’re out and about spending your Love2shop vouchers or cards.

4. Keep to your gift budget

Christmas is one of the most expensive times of the year. But sticking to your budget for presents will keep you from overspending.

5. Keep your eyes and ears peeled

With plenty of time to shop before the big day, use any spare time you may have to plan your gift shopping and avoid a last-minute panic. Listen to your friends and family and see if you can pick up on any hints that will give you ideas on what to buy them for Christmas.  Start collecting recipes you see online or in magazines.  Use your lunch hour to take a no-pressure browse around online for presents.
