Two weeks before Christmas
Christmas is just two weeks away, so now’s the time to turn your focus onto the day itself.
1. Buy any remaining non-perishable food
Cut down on your shopping time (not to mention baggage load) later by doing a supermarket run now of all the ingredients on your list with long sell-by dates, including drinks.
2. Plan some games to play on the day
If you’re hosting guests over Christmas, a few easy-to-play games are the best way to bring everyone together and provide some magical moments. Why not fish out all your old board games (or new ones) like snakes and ladders, scrabble, draughts, Pictionary etc and spend time playing these games with the whole family. It’s a great thing to do together. See here for some ideas on things to do to keep the kids occupied over the Christmas holidays.
3. Make edible gifts for friends
Chutneys, biscuits, truffles, sweets and cakes make great festive gifts for friends and they’re fun to make too. Check out our candy can cookie recipe or our Christmas rum truffle recipe.
4. Finish your Christmas shopping
Beat the crowds. Save your sanity.
